Standard Job Description

You will be an Inspector Sr on the Inspection Team. Our team is responsible for ensuring product quality and compliance.

Inspector Sr. uses predetermined methods, operations, setups and prescribed specifications to inspect visually in-process and completed products such as subsystems, mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects etc. Uses various measuring devices. Accepts, rejects, or reworks defective or malfunctioning units or systems. Works from diagrams, calibrated measuring tools, fixtures, customer specifications, or inspection instructions and checklists. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

**Work Schedule \- 3X12 - 3 12 hr days Fri-Sun; Mo/Tu/We/Th off

What You Will Be Doing

As an Inspector Sr you will be responsible for conducting visual in‑process and completed product inspections of internal defects, and mechanical components to verify compliance with written inspection steps, specifications, and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Perform visual inspections using measuring devices, micrometers, and fixtures.
* Accept or reject units based on inspection criteria.
* Follow detailed inspection instructions.
* Document findings and maintain inspection records.
* Train/Support other areas of Quality.
* Willing and able to work second shift, weekend shift, and holidays depending on contractual requirements.
* Other tasks as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

* Strong attention to details.
* Good organizational skills.
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Must have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
* Proficient in computer use.
* Ability to quickly learn multiple inspection / verification methods and requirements.
* Effective interpersonal skills, concise verbal and written communication.
* Successful completion of on-site, Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) required prior to start.
* Minimum of (1) year documented PCO experience.

* Must be available for work at Troy site: 3x12 Friday through Sunday, with the expectation of overtime as required.

Desired Skills

* Familiarity with Apriso/SAP and or related quality systems.
* Knowledge of aerospace or defense industry manufacturing .
* Experience using handheld and/or digital inspection equipment.
* Minimum of (1) year documented PCO inspection experience.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $41900.00 - $77700.00
