As Eagle transitions into Generac's Commercial & Industrial Fabrication Center of Excellence, the plant will support a significantly broader range of fabricated products, metal commodities, suppliers, and outside processing requirements. To support this growth, purchasing responsibilities are being expanded to a team of buyers. The Buyer II – Fabrication will be responsible for direct material procurement, supplier management, inventory replenishment programs, and outside vended services to help ensure continuity of supply and support Eagle's expanding manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities :

- Procure direct materials to support fabrication and manufacturing operations.
- Manage purchase orders, supplier schedules, and MRP-generated requirements.
- Monitor supplier delivery performance and resolve material shortages or supply disruptions.
- Collaborate with Production Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Quality to support production requirements.
- Manage and optimize Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and visual inventory replenishment programs.
- Coordinate and oversee outside vended services such as painting, plating, heat treating, machining, fabrication, and testing services.
- Analyze inventory, supplier performance, demand trends, and lead times to drive continuous improvement.
- Support supplier sourcing, negotiations, cost reduction initiatives, and performance management.
- Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics, including OTD, OTIF, inventory health, and lead-time performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in direct material procurement within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Technical Qualifications:

- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Power BI.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- Ability to interpret and analyze large datasets and communicate actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience supporting fabrication or manufacturing operations.
- Experience managing Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs.
- Experience with outside processing or outsourced manufacturing services.
- APICS, ASCM, CPSM, CPM, or similar supply chain certification preferred.

Success Measures :

- Material availability and production support.
- Inventory optimization and inventory turn improvements.
- Supplier OTD and OTIF performance.
- Reduction of shortages, premium freight, and supply disruptions.
- Cost savings and supplier performance improvements.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job include are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
