Job Description

Position Summary

The Analyst Rotational Program is a full-time, two-year rotational program that offers the opportunity to expand your potential and become an Analyst at Wonderful Pistachios & Almonds. Throughout each rotation, the Analyst will launch and implement data driven solutions that drives business productivity and improves department processes. They will also be exposed to a broad range of tasks per department needs, offering a cross-functional experience. Department rotations within the Analyst Rotational Program include, but are not limited to: Finance, Accounting, and MAY Purchasing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities within rotations:

Finance & Accounting

- Documents standard procedures for weekly and monthly task.
- Work closely with Zone leaders to identify spending trends and improvement opportunities.
- Active participation with business to support process improvement at all levels.
- Provide information and reporting that ensures that our business decisions and strategy are consistent with WPA objectives.
- Responsible for tracking and analyzing progress and performance of operations teams against KPI’s on a daily and weekly basis.
- Provide support to development of the annual budget.
- Assists other analysts when need arises.

Purchasing

- Analyze supplier capabilities and costing matrices to support decision-making.
- Analyze purchase and usage history for better inventory management, purchasing strategies, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide costing support for New Product/Packaging Development (NPD) initiatives.
- Analyze market trends to forecast and identify standard costs for raw materials, packaging, and MRO items.
- Develop and maintain MRO Supplier Scorecards and related reports.
- Research and prepare statistical reports using organizational data for management decision-making.
- Perform strategic business analysis to support departmental objectives.
- Conduct change impact analyses and document business processes and functions.

Inventory

- Conduct plant-wide yield, compression density, and inventory analyses to establish processing standards and explain yield, dry-weight, and inventory variances.
- Partner with Operations to develop silo selection strategies that balance product quality, customer requirements, inventory availability, and financial returns.
- Analyze production capacity, demand, sales forecasts, production plans, and inventory levels to identify risks, opportunities, and necessary adjustments.
- Monitor weekly production, sales, yield, and inventory performance; identify variances and provide recommendations to improve operational and financial results.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and data analyses to support management decision-making, process improvements, and strategic business objectives.
- Collaborate with management, schedulers, and cross-functional teams to resolve planning issues, lead assigned projects, and support seasonal, harvest, and other strategic initiatives.

Other Responsibilities

- Define and document business functions, processes, and procedures within assigned departments.
- Plan, organize, and conduct business process reengineering or improvement projects specific to a manufacturing environment. This may include spending time on the plant floor.
- Develop and implement change management strategies for organizational improvements.
- Conduct change impact analyses to assess potential implications and document business needs and objectives.
- Consult with department management to identify, define, and document operational challenges, input/output requirements, and system access levels.
- Participate in feasibility studies and special projects to address organizational, procedural, technical, or fiscal challenges; develop policies to improve efficiency and customer service.
- Perform strategic business analysis to support departmental goals and objectives. This may include data collection from the plant floor.
- Provide leadership and work direction for designated projects or assignments.
- Assist in special projects, including harvest duties or other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Language skills

- Must be able to communicate in English both verbal and in writing.
-  Spanish preferred.

Mathematical skills

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, along with computing ratios, and percentages.  Knowledge of statistics is desirable.

Reasoning ability

- Must be able to apply general requirements into action as it applies to the plant.
-  Should be able to work in a team environment to accomplish goals and complete projects.

Computer skills

- Knowledge in Company network drives, proficiency in using Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Oracle, or Google products with adaptability to learn new applications.

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Systems, and/or acceptable related field is preferred but an Associate’s Degree will be considered with experience (three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, crowded and condensed work areas.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The dust levels in the work environment are usually high. (Safety protection will be provided)
- The employee may spend 5% or more of their work hours on the plant floor
- Must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends, or rotating schedules.

Pay Range: $73,000.00 -$85,000.00
