Full Pay Range: $16.65 to $22.52 
Shift: Variable

Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker’s gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.

Kwik Trip, Inc .’s Maintenance Division is looking for well-rounded Electro-mechanical / Industrial Maintenance / HVAC High School Youth Apprentice. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance and troubleshooting of a variety of modern automated process systems. This is a paid Youth Apprenticeship.

Regular tasks include but are not limited to:

- Perform preventative maintenance procedures.
- Perform a variety of job tasks assigned by the maintenance manager.
- Assist with emergency maintenance as required.
- Inspect facilities and equipment on a regular basis.
- Communicate with production and management teams.

Qualifications:

- Interest in the Industrial Maintenance trades
- Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks
- Ability to work safely and within food safety and regulatory standards
- Strong mechanical skills
- Ability to work well alone and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Accurate and detail oriented
- Ability to support maintenance technicians
- Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good working knowledge of hand and power tools.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Ability to work safely and within food safety and regulatory standards

Physical qualifications: stand/walk for up to 10 hours per shift; bend/reach/twist and stoop/kneel/crouch frequently; lift/carry 50 pounds frequently; lift/carry up to 80 pounds occasionally.

Work Schedule:   Interested applicants must be willing to work a minimum of 10 hours per week, and it is important to note that we offer flexibility with school scheduling. This apprenticeship also offers the possibility of transitioning to a maintenance Internship or apprenticeship role after graduation with tuition re-imbursement.
