Position Summary

The Supervisor, Simulation, Curriculum and Instructional Design provides operational leadership for system-wide clinical education programs that support patient safety, workforce readiness, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. This role oversees a team of 17 professionals, including clinical educators, instructional designers, and simulation technologists, and is responsible for program operations/design, resource allocation, staff development, and strategic execution.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead daily operations for Simulation Services, Curriculum and Instructional Design.
- Supervise, develop, and support a team of 12 Clinical Educators, 2 Instructional Designers, and 3 Simulation Technologists.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, onboarding, resource allocation, and performance management.
- Oversee simulation center operations, simulation-based training, and competency development programs.
- Prioritize educational and simulation requests based on organizational goals, patient safety initiatives, and workforce needs.
- Direct curriculum development, educational gap analysis, learning design, and creation of system-wide educational resources.
- Partner with clinical and operational leaders to implement standardized education that supports quality, safety, and operational excellence.
- Support accreditation and regulatory readiness activities, including application preparation, site review coordination, and compliance follow-up.
- Monitor program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

- Education: Accredited program in alignment with licensure requirements
- Experience: 4 year's experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Must have one of the follow licenses in the state of practice.
Registered Nurse (RN)
Physical Therapist - (PT)
Occupational Therapist (OT)
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Social Work (LSW)

Preferred

- Experience with simulation-based education/design, accreditation processes, and adult learning methodologies.
- Leadership experience in healthcare education, clinical learning, simulation, or instructional design.
- Experience managing teams, projects, and cross-functional initiatives.
