Logistic Support Analyst I

Key Responsibilities

- Execute local and international purchasing activities according to business requirements and company policies.
- Manage supplier communications, request quotations, prepare purchase orders, and follow up on deliveries.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Support and execute import and export activities, including customs documentation, freight coordination, and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records within company systems.
- Perform inventory transactions, cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and support physical inventory activities.
- Coordinate the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and spare parts.
- Work closely with logistics providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and suppliers to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Maintain accurate procurement, inventory, import/export, and logistics records within ERP and business systems.
- Analyze inventory, purchasing, and logistics data to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization efforts within the Supply Chain function.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with company procedures, quality requirements, and applicable trade regulations.
- Provide operational support to internal customers to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree or Engineering degree in one of the following disciplines, or related fields:

- Industrial Engineering (Ingeniería Industrial)
- Civil Industrial Engineering (Ingeniería Civil Industrial)
- Logistics Engineering (Ingeniería en Logística)
- Commercial Engineering (Ingeniería Comercial)
- International Trade (Comercio Exterior)
- Supply Chain Management
- Operations Management
- Engineering Technology programs with a focus on operations, logistics, or business management

Experience

- Previous experience in procurement, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, or import/export operations is desirable but not mandatory.
- Candidates with internship, university project, or entry-level experience related to operations, logistics, or supply chain activities are welcome.

Knowledge & Skills

- Interest in supply chain, procurement, logistics, inventory control, and international trade activities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Good analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus, but not required.
- Advance English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
