Housekeeping Supervisor

Valley View Village, a Cassia community,  is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor to help lead our housekeeping and laundry teams. As a Housekeeping Supervisor  at Valley View Village, you'll oversee housekeeping and laundry operations, manage inventory and ordering of supplies, coordinate staffing coverage, and assist with cleaning as needed. The ideal candidate has 3 years of housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting , enjoys working both independently and as part of a team, and takes pride in creating a clean, welcoming environment for residents and staff, because here, every sparkle counts!

Position Type:   Full-Time (including working every other weekend)

Hours:  8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Location:  2571 Guthrie Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317

Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities:

- Supervision over both housekeepers and laundry aides.
- Order inventories linens, supplies and chemicals and all supplies for facility cleaning.
- Keep log of inventory and reports when ordering is needed.
- Assigns and schedules housekeepers if there are call ins and fill in staff areas when they are absent.
- Assist in cleaning resident rooms, restrooms, day rooms and dining rooms, which may include dusting, vacuuming, washing and trash removal.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Housekeeping Supervisor Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in housekeeping and healthcare setting required.
- Supervisory/Management experience preferred.
- Ability to work a consistent schedule.
- Enjoys working independently and as a team player.
- Desire to create relationships with residents and staff.
