TRENT COMPASSION - Step Forward Housing & Employability Lead

Role: Supervisor (Senior Supervisor appointment may be considered depending on experience)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (0.60 FTE), working Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £27,660 FTE, pro rata. Based on full-time hours of 37.5 per week, the salary for 22.5 hours per week is £16,596 per annum (£1,383 per month). A higher salary would apply if appointed at Senior Supervisor level.
Overview of Role
This role exists to oversee and develop our Step Forward Housing & Employability programmes, creating and managing an environment in which vulnerable individuals can flourish.
The role involves building strong, effective partnerships with existing organisations, including Hope Into Action and Christian rehabilitation services, while actively identifying and developing new relationships that can strengthen and extend the work.
It also includes overseeing the referral process, ensuring that individuals are welcomed into the right opportunities with appropriate care and support, as well as recruiting, training and supporting volunteers who help deliver the programmes.
At the heart of the role is the responsibility to ensure that every partnership, referral, volunteer relationship and new opportunity contributes to the wider vision of Step Forward Housing & Employability:

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day delivery and development of the Step Forward Housing & Employability programmes, ensuring participants receive appropriate support, opportunities and pathways for progression.
- Develop and maintain both operational and strategic relationships with employers, churches, prisons, recovery organisations, educational providers, housing providers and community organisations / charities for the purpose of creating opportunities for participants.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the individuals on our programmes.
- Work alongside Hope Into Action and other referrers throughout the referral and interview process for prospective residents and participants.
- Promote and maintain good safeguarding practice across the programmes, responding appropriately to concerns and working within Trent Vineyard's safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Identify, recruit, train and support volunteers who contribute to the programmes through mentoring, practical assistance and befriending.
- Gather, collate and communicate statistics and stories required for monitoring, evaluation, funding and impact reporting.
- Contribute to the ongoing strategic development of Step Forward as a pathway of Christian community, growth and opportunity.
General Responsibilities
- Represent Trent Compassion at relevant meetings, forums and partnership events.
- Help cultivate a healthy volunteer culture that reflects the Vision and Values of Trent Vineyard.
- Attend relevant meetings and training as required, including occasional evenings.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role, in agreement with the Line Manager.

This post requires successful completion of Trent Vineyard's safeguarding process, including DBS clearance.

Christian Faith & Character
