Senior Project Manager, IT Services

What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Practice or IT Services team! This role follows a remote work model, however you must be located in the United States and preferably in the Central time zone.

What youll be challenged to do:

The Senior Project Manager, IT Services is responsible for leading complex, cross functional technology initiatives from planning through delivery. This role bridges business objectives and technical execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with measurable business value. The Senior Project Manager provides strong leadership, governance, and risk management while coordinating across engineering, architecture, data, security, and business stakeholders.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

- Leads end-to-end delivery of complex technical projects, including enterprise systems, integrations, cloud platforms, and data initiatives
- Defines project scope, objectives, success criteria, and delivery approach in alignment with business and technical stakeholders
- Develops and manages project plans, schedules, dependencies, budgets, resource allocations, and project performance against key milestones.
- Serves as the primary point of accountability for project execution, issue resolution, and decision escalation
- Coordinates cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, data engineers, vendors, business partners, and third-party providers.
- Translates business requirements into actionable technical work plans and ensure alignment with architectural standards
- Establishes and maintains project governance, status reporting, and executive level communication
- Identify, assess, and actively manage project risks, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests, with mitigation plans and impact assessments in place.
- Facilitates key project ceremonies such as kickoff meetings, design reviews, status reviews, and retrospectives
- Ensures quality delivery through adherence to best practices, documentation standards, and technical validation
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

## Education | Experience:
What you will bring to our firm:
- Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of project management experience delivering complex technology and business transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience managing large, cross-functional projects involving enterprise applications, cloud platforms, integrations, infrastructure, data, and security teams.
- Demonstrated success managing projects through the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through implementation and post-production support.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
- Experience developing and managing project plans, budgets, schedules, dependencies, and resource allocations.
- Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Experience leading vendor and third-party implementation partners and managing contractual deliverables.
- Experience facilitating governance processes, steering committees, status reviews, and executive reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical delivery plans.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
What we prefer you bring:
- Masters degree in business administration (MBA), Information Systems, Technology Management, or a related discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide digital transformation, cloud migration, ERP, CRM, HRIS, analytics, or data modernization initiatives.
- Experience within Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC), professional services, or other project-driven industries.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, application integration methodologies, and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Experience managing large portfolios, programs, or multiple concurrent strategic initiatives.
- Familiarity with organizational change management frameworks and adoption strategies.
- Experience overseeing distributed or geographically dispersed project teams.
- Experience mentoring project managers, business analysts, or project coordinators.
- Knowledge of governance, compliance, cybersecurity, and risk management practices within enterprise environments.
Compensation: The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $150,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location. Featured Benefits: Hybrid (in-person and remote) work environment.
