A Brief Overview
The Performance Marketing Specialist II is responsible for executing, monitoring and optimizing the performance of Safelite's digital acquisition channels, including paid search, SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), affiliate marketing, local presence management, and emerging AI-powered discovery experiences. This role partners with marketing, analytics, product, and agency teams to support channel growth, execute testing initiatives and identify optimization opportunities that improve customer acquisition performance.
The Specialist II combines hands-on execution with analytical problem solving, translating performance insights into actionable recommendations that improve efficiency and business results. This role serves as a key contributor in the evolution of Safelite's search and AI-discovery capabilities while supporting innovation across emerging platforms and customer acquisition channels.
A primary focus of this role is the execution and advancement of Safelite's agentic engine optimization (AEO) and large language model (LLM) strategy. The Specialist II partners with the Performance Marketing Manager on channel planning and optimization initiatives and will be responsible for designing and optimizing content outputs for visibility on LLMs. As an emerging subject matter resource, this role stays current on developments in AI search, agentic experiences and content discovery to identify opportunities for Safelite growth and innovation.
What you will do
- AEO, LLM & Agentic Content Optimization
• Create, edit, and refine agentic content workflows, prompts, knowledge assets, and AI-generated outputs to
• Ensure outputs align with brand standards, content quality guidelines and compliance requirements while continuously testing and refining performance
- AI Search Performance Measurement & Reporting
• Develop reporting frameworks, and track success metrics for AEO, LLM visibility, and AI-driven discovery initiatives translating results into actionable recommendations
- AI Search Innovation & Competitive Intelligence
• Monitor emerging AI search platforms, answer engines, LLM technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities, risks and optimization recommendations
• Share insights with internal stakeholders to support future channel planning and innovation efforts
• Conduct content audits and gap analyses to identify opportunities to improve entity recognition, topical authority, answerability, and content performance across search and AI ecosystems.
- Performance Marketing Roadmap Execution
• Partner with the Performance Marketing Manager to execute paid search, SEO and affiliate initiatives aligned to business objectives and growth priorities
• Support testing programs, optimization efforts and campaign enhancements while providing recommendations based on performance insights
- SEO & Local Presence Optimization
• Partner with media agency to develop the SEO strategy and optimization efforts through strategic initiatives, technical updates, content additions or updates and local management
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (product, IT, brand, among others) to ensure the successful execution of organic tactics
- Affiliate Growth Support
• Evaluate Affiliate partner opportunities and recommend affiliate expansion opportunities through standard and innovative testing, including partner acquisition, ad creative/media type, payout structures, and content opportunities

Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Preferably in marketing, communications or business Required
Experience Qualifications
- 4-6 years Relevant Experience Required
- Knowledge in SEO, AEO + LLMs Required
- Experience managing local listings in Google Business Profiles, Yext or a related platform Preferred
- Basic to intermediate HTML coding experience, with familiarity in landing page optimization and A/B testing methodologies Preferred
- Affiliate program involvement Preferred

- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and successfully communicate analytic results, insights, and resulting business implications to non-technical business partners
- A proactive mindset with a passion for staying current with digital marketing trends and emerging technologies, eager to apply new techniques and tools to enhance performance.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
- Google Certified – knowledge and experience with relevant media tools such as Google Analytics, SA360, affiliate marketing partners and platforms and Google search console
