Job Summary

The Corporate Social Media Manager will lead the social media operating model across Pacific Hospitality Group properties and outlets. The role owns the AI-agent flow, publishing through Sprout Social, and assigned social channels across the Meritage Collection and legacy portfolio, translating brand direction into channel plans, organic engagement, and measurable performance.

The role will work with Property Marketing Leads to define the content needed; PMLs will capture and approve property-specific content on site, while the Corporate Brand & Content Manager owns content strategy, video editing, and brand consistency.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own the social media day-to-day operating model for assigned PHG properties and outlets, aligned with business priorities, brand standards, and property initiatives.
- Own multiple social media channels for all Pacific Hospitality properties including outlets and collaborate with Stay Golden by Meritage Collection.
- Own the AI-agent flow from content request through review, routing, and publishing, using established brand and approval standards.
- Manage social calendars, publishing schedules, campaign rollouts, and day-to-day channel operations through Sprout Social.
- Own organic content engagement across assigned channels; Property Marketing Leads own direct messages and property-specific guest follow-up.
- Plan and manage Facebook Events for property activations, restaurant programming, seasonal experiences, and other approved initiatives.
- Work with Property Marketing Leads to identify content needs, define capture requests, and coordinate the flow of approved on-site assets.
- Size and prepare images for social publishing and create supporting social assets.
- Source and organize video assets that need to be converted into Reels or other short-form formats.
- Oversee organic content boosting and platform optimization in coordination with marketing priorities and approved budgets.
- Own and continuously improve the AI-driven social media content engine, reviewing generated outputs for accuracy, brand voice, platform fit, legal or reputational concerns, and strategic alignment before routing content to the appropriate Property Marketing Lead for review and approval.
- Coordinate social content management across assigned properties and outlets, ensuring timely receipt.
- Monitor platform trends, competitor activity, audience sentiment, algorithm changes, and emerging opportunities to inform recommendations.
- Research social, hospitality, luxury, travel, restaurant, and competitive-set trends and upload relevant compset data to support reporting, benchmarking, and strategic recommendations.

ANALYTICS & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

- Own monthly and quarterly social reporting through Sprout Social, including reach, engagement, audience growth, content performance, and relevant referral or conversion indicators.
- Translate performance data into clear insights, optimization recommendations, and channel or property-level actions.
- Build consistent KPI definitions and reporting practices across PHG’s portfolio.
- Track progress against strategic objectives and communicate risks, opportunities, and decisions to corporate and property stakeholders.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP

- Partner with the Corporate Brand & Content Manager to align social execution with content strategy, brand positioning, campaigns, creative direction, and portfolio-wide governance.
- Build strong working relationships with Property Marketing Leads, hotel teams, restaurant teams, and agency or vendor partners as needed to define content needs, route approvals, and support timely execution.
- Advise stakeholders on platform best practices, social-first storytelling, community response, and content readiness.
- Provide strategic support for openings, activations, promotions, events, and other moments that benefit from timely social amplification.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading brand social media strategy, channel management, community management, or digital marketing programs.
- Experience managing social media across multiple properties, brands, locations, or business units; enterprise or multi-property experience is strongly preferred.
- This position requires approximately 25% travel and may be based remotely in California, Texas, Arizona, or Hawaii, near one of our property markets.
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging social platforms; TikTok experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Sprout Social or a comparable social media management and reporting platform.
- Portfolio or representative work sample demonstrating social media strategy, photography, visual storytelling, and/or social-first creative is required.
- Strong visual judgment and photography literacy, including the ability to define image needs, assess on-site captures, and prepare assets for publishing.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite for image adjustments and production, plus Canva for social asset creation and adaptation.
- Familiarity with short-form video formats and the ability to source, organize, and brief video assets for editing is preferred; video editing is not the primary responsibility of this role.
- Excellent writing, editing, judgment, and brand-voice skills, with the ability to manage AI-assisted content critically and improve it when needed.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, deadlines, approvals, and escalation paths in a fast-moving environment.
- Hospitality, luxury lifestyle, travel, restaurant, or multi-property brand experience preferred.

- Strong partnership with corporate and property marketing teams and reliable support for campaigns, activations, and business priorities.
