The Service Manager LATAM will play a critical role in transforming the Service organization into a strategic growth engine, strengthening customer experience, operational excellence, and business performance across Latin America.

This position is part of the Latam Leadership Team located in São Paulo/Capital and will be   remote; you will be a part of the Latam Selling Unit team   and report to the General Manager.   At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.

In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Lead the Service organization across both direct and indirect markets, sustaining operations as a strategic growth engine for Leica Biosystems. Partner closely with the Global Service organization and regional leadership to define strategies, execute action plans, and achieve Latin America business targets.
- Manage the Service P&L across LATAM, balancing revenue growth, commercial performance, field costs, spare parts inventory, loaner fleet management, training investments, and overall service profitability. Drive key service and customer KPIs, including installations, preventive and corrective maintenance, and operational performance metrics.
- Provide leadership to Field Engineering, Applications, Repair Center, and Training Center teams, while acting as a strong indirect leader to connect global priorities with effective local execution.
- Drive process improvements that increase efficiency across pre-sales and post-sales activities, while ensuring a high-quality customer experience and strong customer satisfaction.
- Build strong partnerships with internal and external customers, strengthening collaboration, responsiveness, and alignment to business and customer needs.
- Maintain a strong field presence to identify opportunities, improve execution, and sustain high-performance standards across the Service organization.
- Lead the prioritization and resolution of customer issues, ensuring customer satisfaction, operational discipline, and full regulatory compliance. Manage and maintain adequate spare parts inventory thru precise forecasting and importation governance and r einforce 5S principles across instrument repair and redeployment.

The essential requirements of the job include:

- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Diagnostics, Business Administration, or a related field. Active CREA registration will be considered a plus.
- Experience: Strong experience in Pathology, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, or a healthcare-related field is preferred. The ideal candidate will bring proven people leadership, strong business acumen, and hands-on experience managing field service operations in a performance-driven environment.
- Language:   Fluency in Portuguese and English is required; advanced Spanish is preferred.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record Requirements:

- Ability to travel more than 60% of the time across Latin America and internationally, including frequent overnight travel and short-notice trips. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to support customer, business, and regional priorities.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel to the U.S. and Europe.
