The Opportunity
Courier Health is at an inflection point. We exist to get patients faster, better access to life-saving therapies, and none of that happens until data from hubs, specialty pharmacies, copay vendors, claims sources, and field systems comes together cleanly and reliably in our platform. Every day a feed is late or a mapping is wrong is a day a patient's status is invisible to the person who could act on it. Integrations are where our product meets the rest of the ecosystem, and today most of that work is bespoke.
As Principal Product Manager, your mandate is to turn integrations from a bespoke implementation function into a scalable product platform. You’ll define Courier’s API and integration strategy, establish the product and data abstractions that make new sources repeatable, and build the capabilities that allow customers and partners to integrate with Courier reliably. The result should be faster launches, lower implementation effort, greater ecosystem leverage, and a platform that becomes harder to replace as customers scale.
What You'll Build
A platform that makes each new integration faster than the last.
You’ll define where Courier standardizes, where we configure, and where we support variation across hubs, specialty pharmacies, claims sources, CRMs, and other partner systems. You’ll turn patterns from past implementations into shared data models, reusable connectors, and platform primitives—cutting weeks from time-to-live and preventing each new customer from becoming a new architecture.
An API and partner ecosystem that scales beyond our team.
You’ll own the public API and webhook layer, including what we expose, how developers build against it, and how we evolve its contracts over time. Security and quality are core product requirements including authentication and scoped access, auditability, versioning discipline, and contract testing. You'll prioritize when Courier should build a connector, enable a partner to build one, or use third-party infrastructure. You'll also build the tooling, documentation, certification, and operating model that let the ecosystem grow into a partner marketplace.
Pipelines that surface problems before the customer does.
You’ll build ingestion monitoring, reconciliation, clear failure states, and self-service remediation for issues that shouldn’t require an engineer. You’ll define what healthy looks like for a feed and make it visible to the people running the program.
A roadmap the company can plan around.
You’ll translate company strategy, customer needs, technical foundations, and commercial priorities into a clear sequence of investments. You’ll distinguish reusable product needs from one-off requests, make explicit tradeoffs, and align Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Sales around the decisions.
What Makes You Successful
- You’ve built and scaled APIs, integrations, data products, or developer platforms for enterprise customers.
- You’ve turned bespoke customer work into reusable products that improved launch speed, reliability, adoption, or cost to serve.
- You bring strong technical judgment across data models, API design, integration patterns, observability, and failure recovery. You don’t need to code, but engineers see you as a rigorous partner.
- You treat security, privacy, and data quality as design requirements from day one, especially when sensitive health data crosses organizational boundaries.
- You build relationships proactively. You're as comfortable recruiting a partner or working through an integration with a vendor's integration team as you are running a roadmap review.
- You make sharp product decisions—balancing customer needs, commercial value, technical foundations, and long-term platform leverage.
- You communicate clearly across engineering, client IT, commercial teams, and executives, especially when the tradeoffs are hard.
- You thrive with autonomy and ambiguity, build context quickly, and hold yourself accountable to measurable outcomes.
Bonus points if:
- You've built or scaled an integration marketplace, app ecosystem, or partner program.
- You know patient support programs, specialty pharmacy, hub services, claims, or healthcare interoperability standards.
- You’ve worked with Salesforce, Veeva, CRM ecosystems, or iPaaS tooling.
- You’ve built developer-facing products or shipped in regulated environments such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or GxP.

The annual salary range for the target level for this role is $190,000 - $240,000 + equity + benefits, including medical, dental, and vision.
