Machinist

Arconic is currently in search of Machinists to join our Machine Shop based in Alcoa, TN.

You have: (required)

- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year experience or a technical degree from an accredited institution
- Successful candidate must pass two-part Arconic Machinist test
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Exceptional Candidates also have: (preferred)

- 3 or more years journey- level Machinist experience in manufacturing work environment.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and applications.
- Associates or bachelor's degree in an applicable field.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, budgets and cost control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
- Understanding of the customer/supplier relationship and ability to build consensus is vital.
- Flexible, cooperative team member.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interface effectively with technology.
