About this role
The Lutheran Home is looking for Part-time Aides to work within our health center kitchen. This position supports the daily operations of the kitchen and meal services for our healthcare community while providing friendly, respectful service to residents, families, and coworkers while upholding our values of Service, Excellence, Dignity, Fulfillment, Grace, and Stewardship . This is a great opportunity for a student or someone looking for their first job.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assist with meal service, including food running, bussing tables, and support residents with their dining needs
- Help maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area
- Wash dishes by hand or using the dishwasher
- Assist with food receiving, storage, labeling, and rotation
- Sort and remove trash and put in the designated areas
- Prepare, portion, and serve regular and modified diets
- Follow food safety, sanitation, infection control, and safety guidelines
- Provide care and respectful service to resident, families, and coworkers
Part-time hours are typically available 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM, with longer shifts available on the weekend.

- Minimum age of 16
