Internship Program Overview:

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. Summary of Role:

GF’s Commercial Agreements team is seeking a second-year law student to join the team in Essex Junction, Vermont for a summer internship supporting internal clients and external customers around the globe. The intern will work alongside experienced attorneys and contract professionals on commercial transactions, contract drafting and analysis, negotiation support, and projects that improve GF’s contract templates, playbooks, processes, and compliance practices.

Essential Responsibilities include:

- Assist attorneys and paralegals in all aspects of supporting GF sales transactions and nondisclosure agreements.

- Analyze customer contract drafts, draft agreements, and obtain information necessary to complete contract documentation.

- Participate in internal business reviews and support contract negotiations with GF customers.

- Support special projects related to commercial agreement templates, contract playbooks, compliance initiatives, and process improvements.

Other Responsibilities:

- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

- Education – Actively pursuing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree through an accredited law school and entering the second year of law school at the start of the internship.

- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.

- Knowledge of U.S. contract law.

- Excellent legal research, legal writing, verbal, and written communication skills.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior related internship, legal clerkship, or co-op experience

- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

- Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.

- Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Strong planning & organizational skills

- Business, science, engineering, or technology background

- Finance or accounting knowledge

- Fluency in Mandarin, Japanese, or German
