Child Respite Provider

This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Respite Care Provider Needed Are you looking for a part-time position in Chippewa Falls? Are you someone that enjoys building things or taking them apart? Would you like to help a child learn how to interact with the world and build their social skills? If you answered yes, we would love to hear from you!
We are seeking a respite care provider that is willing to connect with a young boy that enjoys tinkering, spending time outside being physically active, and needs some help learning how to interact with others in social settings. Care will take place in the child's home until he is comfortable with a provider enough for community outings and overnights on the weekend.
Schedule:
- Weekdays after 3:30pm (8hrs/week)
- Weekend Overnights (as needed, up to 4x/month)

Wage: $14.13/hr
About The Child: This child is a enjoys "hands on" sensory play and being physically active outdoors. He can be shy and "socially awkward" around people he doesn’t know- therefore his family is looking for a provider that can help him build his social skills.
Interests/Favorite Activities-
- Tinkering with machines (building/taking things apart)
- Going to the park
- Riding his scooter or bike
- Hiking on trails
- Going to Action City & a local water park
- Has memberships for both
- Playing video games with others

Responsibilities:
- Safety & supervision
- Teaching him how to interact with others
- 1:1 interaction via his preferred activities
- Local outings

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle & auto insurance
- Pet friendly (this family has pets in the home
- Knowledge of ADHD (whether professionally or personally)
