POSITION SUMMARY:
The Treasury Management Specialist serves treasury management clients and internal bank partners by delivering responsive, accurate, and professional service. Working within established policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, the position supports treasury management products and services while helping ensure a positive client experience. Through effective communication and attention to detail, the role strengthens client relationships, supports appropriate bank solutions, and contributes to service excellence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Client & Relationship Management
Serve as a responsive Treasury Management contact, building strong client relationships, addressing questions and service issues, and delivering a high-touch client experience.
- Guide clients through service implementation, user setup, documentation, training, testing, and post-implementation follow-up to ensure a seamless transition.
- Collaborate with relationship managers, lenders, Treasury Management leadership, operations, and product teams to communicate client needs, coordinate solutions, and resolve issues.
- Support client retention and revenue growth by identifying product opportunities, sharing client feedback, assisting with demos and recommendations, and strengthening Treasury Management relationships.
- Business Development & Sales
Monitor client activity, onboarding, and product usage to identify service gaps, education needs, adoption opportunities, and relationship-deepening opportunities.
- Partner with Treasury Management Sales, relationship managers, lenders, and branch teams to document and refer qualified opportunities and support pipeline follow-up.
- Support targeted outreach, annual reviews, demos, product education, and follow-up to drive adoption of additional Treasury Management services.
- Track client feedback, service gaps, product requests, and operational needs to provide insights that support portfolio growth and business development.
- Assist with pricing, documentation, demos, and sold-service transitions to ensure a seamless process from opportunity through implementation.
- Credit & Financial Acumen
Support Treasury Management risk management Officer with risk management by providing reports and supporting documentation to help assessclient financial, transactional, operational, credit, and exposure considerations.
- Monitor client activity, transaction volumes, exceptions, and service usage to support limit, exposure, and relationship reviews.
- Apply financial acumen to identify opportunities related to cash flow, liquidity, fraud mitigation, payment efficiency, and product needs.
- Enhance relationship profitability by understanding Treasury Management pricing, fee structures, product utilization, and opportunities to optimize pricing and fee income.
- Risk Management & Compliance
Ensure adherence to Treasury Management policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal controls across client setup, maintenance, and servicing activities.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready documentation in accordance with bank standards, approval requirements, and record-retention guidelines.
- Support secure and risk-based user access administration, ensuring client permissions and access rights align with authorized instructions, security standards, and bank policy.
- Monitor and identify operational risk, control exceptions, and potential compliance concerns, escalating issues appropriately to leadership, risk, compliance, product management, or operations.
- Sustain ongoing Treasury Management risk and compliance reviews by assisting with product limit reviews, annual reviews, required controls, client education, and regulatory documentation.
- Internal Partner Support & Service
Coordinate cross-functional resolution of client, system, and operational issues by researching concerns, gathering information, communicating updates, and engaging internal teams or vendors.
- Communicate implementation progress with internal partners.
- Process & Workflow Management
Manage Treasury Management workflows from intake through completion, including service requests, onboarding, documentation, user access, handoffs, and follow-up.
- Track workloads, deadlines, priorities, and open items to ensure timely completion, clear ownership, and proactive communication of delays or escalations.
- Data, Reporting & Analytics
Prepare accurate recurring and ad hoc reports; validate source data, explain material variances, and highlight trends requiring action.
- Systems & Technology Enablement
Utilize business systems and technology solutions to support operational effectiveness and service delivery.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned systems, processes, and technology tools.

Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience:
- Preferred three or more years of banking, treasury management, deposit operations, commercial banking, lending, accounting, financial services operations, risk management, compliance, or other related financial services experience.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail.
- Experience applying policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal controls in a regulated environment.
- Proven ability to identify issues, analyze information, exercise sound judgment, and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, Associates, leaders, and business partners.
- Experience building collaborative relationships across departments and working effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and other business systems relevant to the role.
- Experience managing confidential or sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, processes, and regulations and adapt to changing business needs.
- Banking experience preferred; equivalent experience in a similarly regulated industry may be considered.
Education:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Banking, or a related field preferred; equivalent works experience may be considered.
