YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Commercial Operations Director, the Commercial Data Analyst will play an instrumental role in translating commercial and business challenges into actionable intelligence, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, to design, build, and deliver robust analytics solutions that drive informed decision-making. The Commercial Data Analyst plays a critical role in shaping how the organization understands its commercial and client performance, ensuring seamless access to reliable insights, empowering teams through data literacy, and contributing to the company's financial performance.
PLAYING YOUR PART
BUSINESS ANALYSIS & REQUIREMENTS DESIGN
- You will understand commercial and client business needs through regular stakeholder workshops, and translate them into functional requirements for analytics solutions
- You will collaborate closely with the Analytics Engineer to follow up on implementation and iterate regularly, ensuring seamless alignment between business requirements and delivered solutions
DASHBOARD DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT
- You will partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs, to design, build and maintain high-quality solutions, streamlining business processes and translating complex data into clear, actionable visualization
- You will continuously refine dashboards to ensure they remain relevant and aligned with business objectives
INSIGHTS GATHERING & DATA GOVERNANCE
- You will effectively gather, compile and analyze data, to translate and communicate complex data findings and insights to diverse audiences via compelling visualisations and clear narratives, enabling informed, data-driven decisions
- You will act as the central data champion, as well as establish and uphold data governance and quality standards, ensuring consistency and reliability across all commercial and client reporting
TRAINING & USER ADOPTION
- You will train and onboard new joiners and colleagues on relevant data analytics tools (Looker, Excel dashboards)
- You will drive user adoption of new tools, sharing data best practices across the organization
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL?
Success in this role will require:
- Proven experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Business Analysis
- Solid understanding of reporting and analytics processes, especially in Commercial and Client domains
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving orientation, with a hands-on approach to execution
- Strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and evolving environment
- Team player mindset, stakeholder management and excellent communication and adaptability skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Looker, SQL and Excel is mandatory, proficiency in Python is a plus
- Fluency in English and French
