Floor Technician
PCMS is seeking a dependable Floor Technician to maintain floors in a healthcare facility. This position is responsible for the appearance and condition of hard floor surfaces and helps maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can complete assignments independently while working well with the rest of the cleaning team.
Responsibilities
- Operate floor care equipment, including buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and other related machines.
- Perform routine floor maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and polishing.
- Assist with stripping, waxing, and restoring floors as needed.
- Inspect assigned areas and address floor care needs to maintain PCMS quality standards.
- Prepare work areas, use equipment and chemicals properly, and leave areas clean and safe when work is complete.
- Clean and maintain equipment after use and promptly report any damage or maintenance concerns.
- Follow hospital safety, infection control, and facility procedures.
- Communicate with supervisors about completed work, supply needs, and any issues that may affect an assignment.
Qualifications
- Floor care experience is preferred.
- Experience using floor machines is a plus.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work evening shifts are required.
- Dependable attendance, strong attention to detail, and a professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and contribute to a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
