How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Deliver physical therapy interventions under the supervision of a physical therapist to help hospitalized patients regain strength, mobility and functional independence.
- Execute evidence-based treatment plans using specialized acute care techniques to prevent deconditioning and promote safe recovery.
- Document treatment interventions and patient progress accurately to maintain clear clinical records and ensure seamless care coordination.
- Guide therapy aides, students and support personnel to maintain a safe, efficient and patient-centered environment.
- Collaborate with supervising physical therapists, nurses and multidisciplinary care teams to support safe discharge readiness and optimal patient outcomes
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) credentialed from the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
