Job Title:  Video Assistant, Women's Basketball (Part-time, Contract)

Note: This is a part-time, contract position averaging 28 hours per week

Job Summary

Assist the women's basketball program with all video operations. Responsibilities include filming practices, workouts, and games; assisting with video editing assignments; managing and distributing film to the coaching staff; and assisting coaches with duties as assigned.

What You’d Be Responsible For

- Video Filming and Capture Film practices, individual workouts, games, and other team activities as assigned
- Set up, operate, and break down video equipment
- Ensure all footage is captured, backed up, and properly labeled

- Video Editing Assist with various video editing jobs as assigned, including practice and game film, scouting cutups, recruiting pieces
- Upload, tag, and archive film to the program's video platform and distribute to coaches, staff, and student-athletes

- Coaching and Program Support Assist coaches in duties as assigned
- Support day-to-day program operations, including practice and game-day setup, travel video responsibilities, and other duties as assigned

What Qualifies You to Apply?

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education/experience

- Willingness to uphold and live by the university's Honor Code
- All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend, which may be verified during the application process.

Preferred:

- Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and video exchange platforms (e.g., Hudl, Synergy)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Strong leadership skills
- Knowledge of basketball terminology, strategy, and game film conventions
- Ability to operate camera and video equipment and troubleshoot basic technical issues

Typical Starting Pay: Depends on Experience
