We're hiring a Bilingual Nurse Case Manager.

Make a meaningful difference in patient care

In this role, you will manage case support for assigned physicians, hospitals and clinics within a defined geography. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will help patients access services and drug therapy by coordinating care, reimbursement, clinical monitoring and issue resolution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide medical support and education to patients and health care providers on disease, therapy and disease management.

- Deliver inbound and outbound telephone support, including maintenance and adherence calls.

- Apply case-management protocols covering clinical monitoring, data collection, patient follow-up, compliance, therapy disruption or discontinuation, and adverse event reporting.

- Coordinate the activities and documentation needed to obtain prescription drug coverage through private, public and federal funding programs.

- Work with insurers, physician offices, health care professionals, pharmacies and agencies to identify reimbursement solutions, coordinate drug delivery and resolve issues.

- Maintain accurate case information, manage databases and complete ongoing audits of files and captured data.

- Communicate clearly with the manager, team and client regarding patient case management.

- Attend patient meetings, conferences and specialized therapy training, and build effective relationships with patient associations, advocacy groups and pharmaceutical partners.

- Collaborate with program colleagues to develop and implement disease-management programs, patient materials, compliance parameters, needs assessments and protocols.

- Support the training of new Nurse Case Managers through shadowing and call monitoring.

What you will bring:

- Fluency in both French and English is mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree or Registered Nurse diploma. An advanced degree or specific practice-management experience is preferred.

- At least five years of nursing experience.

- Health care and case-management experience in a medical or hospital practice, insurance environment or biopharmaceutical industry.

- Experience in third-party reimbursement, pharmaceutical sales, managed care, clinical support or a related area is an asset.

- Ability to understand and communicate medical information clearly and appropriately.

- Strong patient focus, customer service, telephone etiquette and written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize competing deadlines, multitask and perform effectively under pressure.

- Strong negotiation, interpersonal, leadership, analytical, mathematical, business and financial skills.

- Excellent attention to detail, organization and problem-solving capability.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, along with strong internet research and general computer skills.

Salary Range*

$76,200 CAD - 119,460 CAD
