The Hobbled Horse is looking for a Pub Host to help create an exceptional guest experience at our new Old English-style dry pub at the Wavetronix campus in Springville, Utah. Whether you're greeting guests, serving food and non-alcoholic beverages, supporting events, or helping your team through a busy shift, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to be part of building something special from the ground up.

A Successful Pub Host Will:

Guest Experience & Hospitality

- Welcome guests and create a great first impression

- Provide friendly, attentive service throughout each visit

- Build positive relationships with guests and regular patrons

- Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly to requests

- Help create the inviting atmosphere that makes The Hobbled Horse unique

Food & Beverage Service

- Take food and beverage orders accurately

- Deliver food and drinks promptly and professionally

- Explain menu items, specials, and beverage offerings

- Process guest payments through our POS system

- Maintain tables and support guests throughout their dining experience

Teamwork & Operations

- Help prepare, clean, and reset dining and event spaces

- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the pub

- Follow food safety and sanitation standards

- Support meetings, special events, and community gatherings

- Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teammates to provide seamless service

Role Requirements

- Positive attitude and strong customer service skills

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Attention to detail and willingness to learn

- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and special events

- Previous restaurant, hospitality, retail, or customer service experience is helpful but not required

- Food Handler Permit (or ability to obtain)

Pub Host Development Milestones

First 90 Days

- Learn The Hobbled Horse service standards and hospitality philosophy

- Become comfortable with menu offerings and service procedures

- Build relationships with guests and teammates

- Confidently support daily service and special events

Within 1 Year

- Deliver consistently exceptional guest experiences

- Become a trusted and dependable member of the front-of-house team

- Help create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits

- Support successful events and community gatherings

Beyond Year 1

- Continue developing hospitality and service skills

- Serve as a mentor for new team members

- Contribute ideas that improve guest satisfaction and operations

- Help The Hobbled Horse become a favorite destination in the community
