As a 3rd Shift Systems Support Engineer you will..

- Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems in secure, high-availability environments, including servers, networking, storage, virtualization, and security appliances.

- Monitor system health and investigate incidents using logs, performance metrics, and tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Promtail, and Loki to identify and resolve issues quickly.

- Support APIs and production infrastructure, including API gateways, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing after-hours/on-call support during critical incidents.

- Collaborate across technical teams to manage incidents and changes, communicate complex technical issues clearly, and maintain reliable operations in a mission-critical environment.

3rd Shift Systems Admin Qualifications:

- Security + or CISSP certification, TS/SCI security clearance

- Good collaboration skill with the ability to work in a team environment

- Good oral and written communication skills while working in a multi-discipline environment

- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems/Linux experience required

- Availability to work extended hours and provide after-hours and on-call support

- Experience supporting and troubleshooting APIs and security appliances such as API gateways

- Ability to analyze system logs, performance metrics, and diagnostic data to quickly isolate technical issues

- Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure during critical production incidents

Additional things we would like to see...

- Experience supporting high availability or mission critical environments

- Experience with Grafana or similar monitoring tool.

- Familiarity with incident management and change management processes

- Broad knowledge of servers, networking, storage, and virtualization

- Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Promtail, and Loki

- Familiarity with DevOps collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
