We are looking for a passionate and experienced Sessional Trainer with a background in Alcohol and Other Drugs, community or mental health services to inspire and upskill the next generation of care professionals.

As a trainer, you'll bring your real-world experience into the classroom, helping learners build confidence, capability, and a genuine connection to the work they do.

What you will be delivering:

- Accredited qualifications and skill sets in Alcohol and Other Drugs.

Delivery may include face-to-face, online, workplace and blended learning.

genU Training delivers job-ready, nationally recognised qualifications and vocational short courses. We empower people through education—particularly those living with disability, long-term unemployed, or experiencing vulnerability in the community.

What you’ll do

As a Sessional Trainer, you will:

- Facilitate engaging training across face-to-face and online environments

- Support learners from diverse backgrounds, including new entrants and experienced support workers

- Bring industry insights into your sessions to create practical, job-ready learning

- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance training quality and learner experience

What you’ll bring

- TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent) - essential

- Relevant qualification in your area of expertise (community services, mental health, alcohol and other drugs)

- Strong, current experience in the relevant sector

- Confident facilitation skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners

- Experience delivering training both in-person and online

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)
