Bechtel is providing a wide variety project and contract management services, crossing all disciplines, to customers in Western Australia to support exciting capital works programmes, including in aviation, defence and energy infrastructure. We are looking for people to join us in a long-term relationship to deliver these services in and around Perth where we are working within integrated teams with our customers and to help build Bechtel’s capabilities for even greater opportunities in the future.

## Job Summary:

The HSEH Systems and Assurance Advisor supports the effective operation, governance and continual improvement of Perth Airport's HSEH Management System (HSEHMS), ensuring it remains current, compliant and aligned with legislative requirements, ISO standards, enterprise frameworks, and the Quality Management System (QMS).

The role is responsible for developing and maintaining management system documentation, supporting the identification and control of HSEH risks and obligations, and ensuring requirements are consistently applied across Work Health and Safety, Environment and Heritage. The role also contributes to a risk-based assurance program through project readiness reviews, management system conformance assessments, contractor assurance activities and verification of corrective action close-out.

Through strong system governance, attention to detail and responsive stakeholder support, the role helps drive continual improvement, strengthen assurance outcomes and embed HSEH requirements into project delivery and operational activities across the airport.

## Major Responsibilities:

- Support the ongoing operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Health, Safety, Environment and Heritage Management System (HSEHMS).
- Maintain alignment and integration of the HSEHMS with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, enterprise frameworks and related management systems.
- Coordinate assurance activities including audits, reviews, risk-based assessments, readiness reviews and compliance verification across projects and contractors.
- Monitor system performance, findings, corrective actions and improvement initiatives to drive continual improvement and organisational learning.
- Support the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of HSEH risks, controls, obligations and compliance requirements.
- Manage controlled HSEH documentation throughout its lifecycle, including development, review, approval, publication, version control and archiving.
- Maintain document registers, standards, templates and review schedules, ensuring governance and compliance requirements are met.
- Administer HSEH systems, registers and workflows, ensuring data quality, integrity and effective record management.
- Prepare and analyze HSEH performance, compliance and assurance reports to support decision-making and organisational objectives.
- Monitor emerging risks, trends and opportunities and recommend initiatives to strengthen management system effectiveness.
- Provide management system, assurance and document control guidance, training and support to project teams, contractors and business stakeholders.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support compliance, consistency and continuous improvement across the capital portfolio.

## Education and Experience Requirements:

- Relevant qualification related to HSEH, quality or management systems, and 3+ years’ experience in a relevant role.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Integrated Management Systems and working knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001, and awareness of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001).
- Strong document control and technical writing skills, including experience managing controlled documents across their full lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of risk registers, obligations tracking and audit and assurance processes, including experience undertaking compliance reviews, evidence sampling, documenting findings and monitoring corrective actions.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage schedules and competing priorities.
- SharePoint document library administration experience, and SAI360 (or equivalent HSEH systems) experience desirable.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented approach.
- General awareness of WHS legislation and environmental and heritage compliance obligations desirable.
- Experience supporting assurance within capital projects, construction or contractor management environments, including reviewing compliance with management plans, organisational requirements and controlled processes.
