Senior Inventory Coordinator

Position Summary

The Senior Inventory Coordinator is responsible for overseeing inventory control activities to ensure the accurate receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of materials supporting operational and client needs. This role serves as a key resource for inventory management processes, system accuracy, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Demonstrate and uphold ICON's values of People, Clients, and Performance in all aspects of work.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance inventory processes, increase efficiency, and improve service levels.
- Receive, inspect, quality check, and process inbound deliveries, ensuring accurate documentation and system updates.
- Coordinate the storage, organization, and distribution of inventory while maintaining proper stock rotation and inventory integrity.
- Accurately record inventory transactions, stock movements, and material issues within inventory management systems.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for inventory control systems, including IDBS, ASID, Excel, and other business applications as required.
- Monitor inventory levels and support inventory planning activities to minimize shortages, discrepancies, and excess stock.
- Conduct and support cycle counts, inventory audits, investigations, and reconciliation activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Partner with internal customers, suppliers, Purchasing, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve inventory-related issues and support business objectives.
- Maintain compliance with departmental SOPs, company policies, and applicable quality standards.
- Assist with inventory reporting, data analysis, and metrics to support informed decision-making and operational effectiveness.
- Support onboarding and training of team members on inventory processes and best practices, as needed.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous inventory, warehouse, logistics, supply chain, or materials management experience.
- Experience using inventory management systems and ERP platforms.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Effective problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments.
