Position Mission

The primary purpose of the role is to lead the FP&A activities across Global Travel Retail (GTR) and be a critical finance point person in the Business Planning and S&OP process. This role has a focus in process improvement, providing insights to senior leadership and to lead the growth of FP&A capability in GTR.

The role also requires partnering the marketing team in strategy plans such as Growth planning. There is a focus to ensure proper allocation and use of marketing funds to support GTR and its Priority Brands as a brand building channel.

Role Responsibilities

Business Planning

- Champion close coordination of GTR FP&A with Regional FP&A team to deliver BU submissions in business planning, budgeting and forecasting processes.

- Collaborate across functional teams as lead of FP&A to allow clear accountability and delivery in FP&A activities, including business performance management.

- Partner the GTR Leadership team, esp MD and FD, in delivering Strategic Plans and support critical decision making. Lead overall business reviews for GTR LT to International region.

- Act as a central coordinator and challenger to finance teams in reviewing results across the region, KPI delivery and detailed risks & ops (R&O) management. Ensure Finance teams are aligned across all requirements to meet deadlines.

- Responsible for total Brand Investment, ensuring GTR spends are aligned to Budget and Forecast are in line with planning cycles and deadlines.

Business Partnering through Analytics and Collaboration

- Play the role of a business partner to the Senior Marketing director and brand team.

- Drive understanding of brand P&L health with partners and longer-term actions to balance growth in brand equity and mitigation of liquid surplus.

- Champion analytics and financial insights for brand performance reporting.

Qualifications

- Degree qualified with finance or accounting qualification and relevant industry (Alcohol/FMCG) experience. Preferably experienced in regional FP&A role.

- Demonstrated ability, orientation, and hunger to drive change and strive for continuous, improvement, with outstanding ability to influence others

- Self-reliant, a good problem solver and results-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

- Proven success of strong process and project management skills

- Systems/software – experience in using advanced Microsoft Excel, as well as previous exposure to ERP and management reporting/consolidation systems.

- Experienced in writing succinct and insightful business performance reports, and summarizing business analysis.

- Strong in building financial models.

- Cross Functional Working – proven experience in working proactively across commercial functions to deliver total business performance solutions.

- Stakeholder Engagement and Management – demonstrated experience in influencing and managing multiple stakeholders across geographies, building mutually beneficial, profit-focused business relationships.
