About this role
The WASH/Shelter Officer contributes technical expertise to the implementation of Shelter and WASH projects, ensuring activities are delivered effectively, on time, and in line with humanitarian standards. The role involves supporting assessments, monitoring progress, preparing documentation, and engaging with communities to facilitate smooth interventions. While the position does not normally include staff management, it may occasionally require limited supervision of assistants for specific tasks.
- University degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related engineering field
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in WASH/Shelter interventions design/implementations.
- At least two years' experience in humanitarian or recovery contexts.
- Solid technical expertise in WASH and/or Shelter, with a particular focus on hardware aspects
- Previous experience working in complex and volatile environments
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently and work regularly in field locations outside the office
- V.Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal
