YOUR NEW ROLE

This role works as part of a team to provide technical support to the production departments, venue hirers, and wider organisation, as the front line of the Theatre & Precinct department of the Technology portfolio. This position is a multi-skilled theatre technician focussed on supporting the different theatre disciplines including staging, lighting, sound/AV, and recording and broadcast, as well as delivering small-scale events independently. It provides first-level quick-response operational support for theatre systems and infrastructure.

ARE YOU THE ONE?

Key Responsibilities/skills:

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate:

- 3+ years’ experience across multiple production service disciplines, including staging, lighting, sound, AV, communications, and broadcast.
- Strong operational capability in theatre and precinct duties, including incident response, customer service, and interdisciplinary technician responsibilities.
- Sound technical knowledge of communications and signal transport systems, including radios, paging, cue lights, intercoms, audio/video routing, and IP networks.
- Proven ability to interpret, create, and implement event documentation and technical requirements.
- Effective leadership and teamwork skills, supported by strong communication, physical fitness, agility, and the ability to work at heights.
