Purpose
- As Supply Chain Coordinator, you play a crucial role in ensuring efficient procurement, delivery, and coordination of materials for on-site operations, acting as a hands-on Project Procurement Manager. This role supports the seamless flow of materials and services from suppliers to project locations, working directly with vendors, logistics teams, and project management teams to meet operational and project-specific needs.
Responsibilities
- You coordinate on-site procurement, delivery, and inventory of materials, ensuring timely and efficient supply chain processes.
- You act as a liaison between suppliers, logistics teams, and project management teams to align on delivery schedules and project requirements.
- You track and monitor inventory levels, anticipating material needs to prevent stockouts and support continuous project progress.
- You manage and evaluate supplier performance, addressing issues proactively to maintain high quality of service and reliability.
- You support in developing and implementing cost-effective purchasing strategies that support project timelines and budget targets.
- You provide updates to the main stakeholders on procurement status, highlighting potential delays, risks, and corrective actions.
- You maintain accurate and up-to-date records of on-site procurement activities, including delivery logs and inventory reports.
- You identify and resolve procurement or logistical challenges, collaborating with project teams to minimize disruptions.
- You ensure compliance with supply chain policies, safety standards, and project management protocols.
- You support continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics, preferably within the oil and gas or energy sectors.
- Proven experience with on-site or project-based supply chain operations
- Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams, including project management, logistics, and vendor partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, high-stakes setting
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and quality assurance in the oil and gas industry
