Treasury Netting & Accounting Manager

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

Netting execution

- Coordinate daily netting activities, including execution of netting cycles, preparation of payments, and virtual booking of settlements of IC invoices
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of intercompany netting and settlement transactions
- Review and adjust scope of Netting participants as well as Netting type, including Omya newly acquired or divested entities, for all 3 Business Units
- Prepares and deploy Netting related trainings to ensure fast and smooth onboarding of new participants, together with other OS&S process teams and/or local finance teams, where appropriate
- Align with Controlling, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other B2C functions for seamless end to end Netting processes execution
- Monitor netting-related KPIs and SLAs; take corrective actions in case of deviations

Treasury accounting

- Ensure accurate and timely execution of treasury accounting activities, including booking, reconciliation, and period-end closing entries related to treasury transactions
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and audit-relevant documentation requirements for treasury items
- Support alignment with Controlling, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other B2C functions for seamless financial close processes

Service performance and issue resolution

- Act as first point of escalation for operational issues and exceptions within the Netting and Accounting team; ensure timely resolution
- Escalate structural issues, risks and recurring defects to the Head of Group Treasury
- Ensure adherence to dual control principles for key user activities

Implementation of changes and improvements

- Work closely with the process management team to ensure continuous improvement of netting and treasury accounting processes
- Support the implementation of new or updated work instructions, tools and systems
- Collect improvement ideas from the team and contribute to the operational improvement backlog
- Participate in pilot activities, testing and training related to changes impacting netting and accounting processes

Team leadership and people development

- Lead and develop the Netting and Accounting team (Netting and Accounting Specialists)
- Monitor team workload and support capacity planning; identify skill gaps and training needs; support onboarding and knowledge transfer
- Actively contribute to and foster Omya's culture and values among team members

Stakeholder management and communication

- Collaborate and report to the Head of Group Treasury to ensure alignment between team execution and operational targets
- Engage with Group Treasury, Treasury Middle Office team, and adjacent B2C teams (Controlling, AP, AR, Tax)
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure aligned intercompany settlement processes

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
- 4–6 years of experience in treasury operations, financial operations, cash management, or a related operational role
- Experience with treasury and accounting systems (e.g., SAP FI, Coupa Treasury, netting tools)
- First leadership or coordination experience (e.g., acting as senior specialist or deputy team lead)
- Solid understanding of netting processes, intercompany settlements, and treasury accounting principles
- Knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP) relevant to treasury transactions
- Familiarity with SAP FI and treasury-related modules
- Knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements for treasury and accounting activities
- Good coaching, communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities
- Very good command of English, both oral and written
