About this role
School of Civil and Environmental Engineering is a school under College of Engineering and is a leading school for Sustainable Built Environment. The key objective of this position is to support the development of simulation models for coastal infrastructure, such as seawalls and dikes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop simulation models.
- Conduct laboratory-scale tests.
- Validate the models using field test data.
- Publish research findings/papers in high-quality top journals.
- Prepare proposals for further research and development.
- Mentor and supervise students.
Job Requirements:
- PhD in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in machine learning and structural health monitoring.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in ABAQUS and laboratory testing.
- Ability to work independently and develop solutions within strict timelines.
