About This Job
We're looking for a web developer to join our Tealium team, supporting tag management, event tracking, and data connector work across our digital marketing properties. Tealium-specific experience is a plus but not required. What matters most is solid web development fundamentals. We will train the Tealium-specific skills on the job.
Core Responsibilities
- Build and maintain pixels and EventStream/AudienceStream connectors across web and app properties
- Create and populate data layer variables sourced from the DOM, and map them correctly to connector attributes for downstream platforms
- Debug tracking and API errors (malformed requests, failed connector calls, mismatched data types) and resolve root cause
- Support ongoing tag and connector maintenance as new marketing use cases are added
Required Skills
- Solid JavaScript fundamentals, including DOM manipulation and event handling
- Understanding of frontend vs. backend data flow (what runs client-side vs. server-side, and why it matters for tracking)
- Comfortable reading and troubleshooting API requests/responses (status codes, payload structure, common failure modes)
- Understanding of basic data types and structures (strings, objects, arrays, nested JSON) and how mismatches cause integration errors
- Strong debugging instincts, comfortable using browser dev tools (console, network tab) to trace an issue
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with Tealium, or any tag management system (GTM, Adobe Launch, etc.)
- Experience with marketing/analytics tracking (GA4, Meta Pixel, conversion APIs)
- Exposure to REST API integration work

Tealium's TIQ tag management platform, EventStream/AudienceStream architecture, and how our marketing data pipeline connects to downstream platforms. No prior CDP experience needed; we'll ramp you up.
