Credit and Collections Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing stakeholder communication, invoicing, collection strategy and detail oriented approach. This is a hybrid role from Mumbai Powai location and work hours are 2pm – 11pm IST.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor customer accounts, identify overdue balances, and proactively drive collection activity.
- Maintain accurate records and report on account status, activity, and aging trends.
- Meet established collection, cash flow, deadline, and performance targets.
- Meet monthly with Managing Directors to review DSO, provisions, aging trends, collection performance, and material account risks.
- Prepare concise portfolio updates, recommend actions for overdue or at-risk accounts, and document owners, commitments, and follow-up dates.
- Manage client communications and difficult conversations with firmness, professionalism, and respect.
- Resolve payment issues and disputes while maintaining productive customer relationships.

Essential traits:

- Minimum 6 years of B2B collections experience, preferably in accounts receivable or collections.
- Strong knowledge of collection practices, negotiation techniques, and customer account management.
- Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, recordkeeping, and collection reporting.
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills.
- Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and effective under pressure.
- Customer-focused and committed to balanced, positive outcomes.
