Department Overview

The MIHA Division specializes in "influencer marketing" and possesses the following three competitive advantages:

1. Proposals leveraging Rakuten data based on approximately 100 million Rakuten member IDs, combined with AI.

2. A roster of exclusive, high-profile influencers.

3. International operations, extending beyond Japan to include markets primarily in South Korea.

Regarding point 1, our use of Rakuten data and AI allows us to propose influencers based on purchase data from Rakuten Ichiba, enabling us to provide optimal strategies for our advertisers.

Regarding point 2, our exclusive influencers include talented YouTubers who also hold significant recognition in mass media.

Regarding point 3, through collaboration with other departments within the Rakuten Group, we are able to provide Japanese influencer marketing services, focusing primarily on South Korea and China.

Position Details

We are looking for someone who goes beyond basic tasks-such as processing invoices, payments, and recording revenues and expenses-to proactively identify and resolve operational risks and challenges. You will be expected to engage with stakeholders and lead solutions with a sense of urgency.

・Handle accounts payable/receivable and process employee expense reimbursements.

・Develop accounting policies for new products and business initiatives, and conduct risk analysis and management.

・Formulate and execute internal control plans related to accounting operations.

・Provide cross-functional support for non-accounting areas (e.g., General Affairs, Legal).

・Internal: Management, business units, etc.

・External: Clients, vendors/suppliers, etc.

・Total number of employees in the business: Approximately 40 (5 in the Corporate Control Section, which is the team for this position)

・Age range of the business: Centered on young people in their late 20s

・Ratio of the business: New graduates (10%), Mid-career hires (90%)

・The backgrounds of our mid-career employees include industries such as specialized trading companies, retail, and railway companies.

・Active in a wide range of areas as a manager three years after joining the company.

・Expanded scope from the accounting domain to internal control as an assistant manager five years after joining the company.

・Depending on the business expansion, there are opportunities for vertical deepening (e.g., a specialist in financial accounting) or horizontal expansion (e.g., expanding into governance or management accounting, or becoming a manager of the entire back-office department).

Mandatory Qualifications:

・At least 3 years of experience in accounting at an operating company.

・A person who has the hospitality to support the business and other members, and can respond speedily.

・Communication skills to accurately grasp the needs of management and related parties.

Desired Qualifications:

・Work experience in the advertising industry.

・Communication skills for negotiations with management and various other stakeholders.

・High level of self-motivation and flexibility.

・Ability to organize things systematically and a logical thinking orientation.

・Ability to focus on how to realize what the business wants to do, rather than just judging whether it is possible or impossible.
