We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist .

Principal responsibilities

- End-to-end feature delivery: Build user-facing features and backend capabilities from design through to production, with a strong focus on maintainability and operational readiness.

- Frontend engineering (React/TypeScript): Develop responsive, accessible UI components and flows; integrate with APIs; ensure a consistent user experience aligned with enterprise UI standards.

- Backend engineering (Java/Spring Boot): Design and implement secure, resilient REST APIs and services using Spring Boot, including validation, error handling, and performance optimisation.

- Security by design: Apply secure coding practices and enterprise security patterns (e.g., OAuth2/OIDC, least privilege, secure secrets handling), ensuring solutions meet regulatory and audit expectations.

- Data layer ownership: Design and work with relational data models and queries using PostgreSQL; contribute to performance tuning and data integrity.

- Cloud-native delivery on GCP: Build solutions with an understanding of GCP fundamentals (IAM, networking, managed services) and how applications run in cloud environments.

- CI/CD and release automation: Work with DevOps engineers to maintain and improve automated pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), enabling predictable deployments across DEV/UAT/PROD.

- Testing and quality engineering: Write automated unit and integration tests; support contract testing and non-functional testing where relevant.

- Observability and production support: Implement health checks, structured logging, metrics, and alerts; troubleshoot incidents and drive root-cause fixes.

- Documentation and governance: Maintain technical documentation (API specs, runbooks, design notes) and support evidence needs for audit/compliance.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer delivering production services in agile teams.

- Frontend: React + TypeScript, modern state management and testing practices.

- Backend: Java (17/21), Spring Boot, REST API design, OpenAPI/Swagger.

- Database: PostgreSQL design and query optimisation fundamentals.

- Experience working in environments with strong controls (security, risk, audit, change management) and a mindset of building quality in from day one.

- Working knowledge of CI/CD and modern delivery practices (experience with Jenkins is preferred).

- Strong communication skills, clear documentation habits, and collaborative working style.
