Job Description
Workday HCM Technical – Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain Workday HCM technical solutions based on business requirements.
- Develop and support Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Core Connectors, and Web Services.
- Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems such as payroll, benefits, finance, identity management, and other enterprise applications.
- Configure and support Workday Business Processes , notifications, validations, condition rules, and approvals.
- Develop and maintain custom reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and advanced reports .
- Work with Workday RaaS (Report-as-a-Service) and Workday APIs for data extraction and system integrations.
- Build and maintain inbound and outbound integrations using SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, and other relevant technologies.
- Perform integration monitoring, troubleshooting, error handling, and performance optimization .
- Support data conversion, migration, and mass data loads using EIB and other Workday tools.
- Develop and maintain custom objects and technical configurations while following Workday best practices.
- Collaborate with functional teams across Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Talent, Recruiting, Payroll, and other Workday modules .
- Participate in unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), UAT, regression testing, and production validation .
- Analyze technical issues and provide root-cause analysis and resolution for Workday integrations and configurations.
- Manage Workday releases , assess impact on integrations and custom reports, and perform required remediation.
- Prepare technical design documents, integration specifications, mapping documents, test scripts, and support documentation.
- Work with business stakeholders, functional consultants, integration teams, and external vendors to deliver technical solutions.
- Ensure data security, privacy, and appropriate access controls are maintained within Workday solutions.
- Provide production support and participate in incident, problem, and change management activities.
