Iron Mountain is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager, Data Center Fixed Asset Controller to join our Global Data Center Controllership and Accounting team. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in powering our digital infrastructure growth by providing expert technical accounting guidance across real estate construction, fixed assets, and capital expenditure projects. You’ll collaborate closely with our Design & Construction, Tax, and Finance Business Partner teams to ensure precise capitalization, robust financial reporting, and seamless closing processes. Here, your financial acumen will directly safeguard our assets and support the sustainable expansion of our data center footprint.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

In this role, you will:

- Oversee Construction & Fixed Asset Accounting: Provide technical accounting guidance, monitor real estate capitalisation, and ensure accurate, timely capitalisation as data centre projects complete and go live.
- Manage Capex & Expenses: Partner with Design & Construction and Operations teams to track spend, review capital labor surveys, and ensure proper treatment of passthrough customer fit-out expenses.
- Lead Financial Reporting & Closing: Direct
- Month-end closing, perform variance analyses, and oversee Local GAAP and US GAAP adjustments in full alignment with global deadlines.
- Ensure Compliance & Governance: Take full ownership of SOX controls, maintain dual-ledger accuracy, and oversee both internal and external audit requirements for fixed assets.
- Drive Process Alignment: Support acquisition integrations, review outsourced provider journal entries and reconciliations, and collaborate on global financial system initiatives.

What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

The ideal candidate will have:

- Extensive experience in fixed assets, capital expenditure accounting, and real estate/construction accounting within a global corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Local GAAP, SOX controls, and Value Added Tax (VAT) implications related to capital assets.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Design & Construction, Tax, and Finance Business Partners.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing balance sheet reconciliations, subledger adjustments, asset retirements, and fixed asset rollforwards.
