As our renewable energy business continues to grow, we are looking for a Civil/Structural Engineer – Wind, Solar & BESS Projects to join our team in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam .

Applicants must have practical experience in the design and/or review of wind turbine generator (WTG) foundations. Candidates without relevant WTG foundation experience will not be considered for this position.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include civil and structural engineering activities across renewable energy projects, including wind, solar and battery energy storage (BESS) projects:

- Provide civil and structural engineering inputs for feasibility studies, technical due diligence assignments, owner's engineering services, and design reviews for renewable energy projects.
- Develop preliminary civil and structural designs, including wind turbine generator (WTG) foundation concepts and layouts where applicable.
- Prepare technical specifications, design criteria, and Employer's Requirements related to civil and structural works for renewable energy projects.
- Act as Owner's Engineer and review EPC Contractor compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and design requirements.
- Review and comment on EPC Contractor civil and structural deliverables, including drawings, specifications, method statements, and design calculations.
- Review and validate detailed design calculations and drawings for WTG foundations, ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable design codes, and industry best practices.
- Participate in technical workshops and design review meetings with clients, contractors, equipment suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Provide technical support during construction, including assessment of design changes, technical queries, non-conformities, and site issues.
- Coordinate with site supervision teams and multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve civil and structural design-related matters.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering.
- Hands-on experience in the design and/or independent review of wind turbine generator foundations is mandatory .
- Experience in renewable energy projects such as wind, solar PV, BESS, power generation, or other energy infrastructure projects.
- Good understanding of reinforced concrete and steel structure design principles, geotechnical interfaces, and foundation design.
- Experience reviewing detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and technical specifications prepared by EPC contractors or engineering consultants.
- Familiarity with international design standards and codes such as Eurocodes, ACI, ASCE, IBC, and AISC.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Robot Structural Analysis, or similar software.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary project teams.
