Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our group.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of developing secure, scalable, and mission-critical components that protect the world’s most sensitive data - databases.  You’ll collaborate with a talented group of Backend, Frontend, QA, DevOps, Security Engineers, and Product Managers to deliver innovative solutions.

You will own and deliver new features end-to-end across a wide tech stack spanning Python, Golang, and C++, all running on AWS-native SaaS.

Qualifications

- 10+ years experience in backend software engineering
- At least two years hands-on experience building and shipping production-grade SaaS or cloud-native services (AWS preferred)
- Proven ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, taking on tasks with a proactive, can-do attitude and a strong commitment to expanding beyond the comfort zone within the team’s tech stack—including Python, C++, Go and Typescript (React).
- Hands-on proficiency with modern AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate design, implementation, and code reviews, with clear judgment on when to leverage AI.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering related field / technology Elite unit alumni with relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Python / Go/C++ programming languages
- Proficiency in networking protocols and diagnostic tools (eg. wireshark), foundational security principles, or databases
- Strong expertise in Linux systems, containerization architectures (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS), and multi-threaded system programming.
- Experience designing, implementing, and scaling robust Agentic AI solutions and multi-agent workflows, including developing custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers and integrations to autonomously resolve complex tasks.
