To drive our continuous organic growth, we are constantly looking for highly qualified professionals. To strengthen our team in Global IT, we are looking for a Data Platform Owner Databricks (a), 80-100%

Your tasks:

- Own the Databricks platform end to end, including strategy, architecture, operations, security, compliance, cost, and roadmap

- Lead the transition to a production-grade, GxP-qualified lakehouse on AWS, including standardized Dev/Test/Prod environments

- Define platform architecture and standards for Unity Catalog, workspaces, compute, networking, data layers, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD

- Establish scalable data ingestion and integration patterns for systems such as SAP, MES, LIMS, eQMS, and ELN

- Ensure GxP compliance, platform qualification, data integrity (ALCOA+), audit readiness, access control, change control, and backup/recovery

- Manage day-to-day platform operations, including monitoring, incident, problem, change, release, security, and access management

- Drive FinOps and vendor management, ensuring cost transparency, optimization, licensing, support, and effective partner collaboration

- Enable self-service data capabilities through guardrails, onboarding, documentation, and a community of practice, while coordinating internal and external platform resources

Your profile:

- 5+ years of experience in data platform engineering or ownership, including 3+ years managing Databricks in production end to end

- Strong hands-on expertise in Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, workspace administration, cluster/job management, and Databricks SQL

- Experience running Databricks on AWS, with solid knowledge of IAM, VPC, S3, and KMS

- Good understanding of GxP requirements and regulated environments, including GAMP 5, ALCOA+, CSV, 21 CFR Part 11, EU GMP Annex 11, and change control

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD, such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Databricks Asset Bundles

- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts and trade-offs for business, quality, and leadership stakeholders

- Experience in pharma, biotech, or CDMO environments and/or qualification and validation of cloud data platforms is an advantage

- Familiarity with data integration, governance, OT/IT data flows, and ML/AI workloads; Databricks certifications and German language skills are a plus
