Housekeeper – Freedom Village Holland
Pay: $16.00–$17.00/hr Sign‑On Bonus: $1,500 Schedule: Full‑Time • 1st Shift
About the Role
- Maintain cleanliness and neatness of assigned apartments and common areas
- Support a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for residents
- Follow housekeeping priorities and instructions from supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general housekeeping in apartments: vacuuming, bathroom/kitchen cleaning, dusting
- Clean hallways and common areas as directed
- Complete tasks in priority order set by supervisor
- Maintain equipment and supplies in proper condition
- Attend in‑service training and education sessions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Maintain resident confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- Strong communication skills
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred (not required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Physical Requirements
- Moderate to heavy physical effort for most of the workday
- Stand and walk long distances (up to 8 hours/day)
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, reaching, and stretching
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently
- Push/pull carts up to 100 lbs over various surfaces
- Operate vacuums and work in confined spaces
- Regular contact with residents
- Possible exposure to cleaning chemicals, odors, and communicable diseases
