Job Description

Your Role

- Sarbanes-Oxley Control Testing: Support walkthroughs to understand business processes, risks, controls, and supporting systems. Assist in assigned control design and operating effectiveness testing under supervision. Obtain, organize, and review audit evidence such as reconciliations, approvals, reports, system screenshots, and supporting records. Document test procedures, sample details, evidence references, results, and exceptions clearly in audit workpapers.

- Risk-Based Audits: Assist with process understanding, preliminary research, audit planning materials, risk and control identification, and preparation of process narratives or risk-control matrices. Execute assigned audit procedures including document review, sample testing, data analysis, and evidence validation. Help prepare meeting notes, status updates, issue trackers, and factual supporting documentation for audit observations.

- Special Investigations:  Provide supervised support for investigation planning, evidence collection, case administration, basic financial or transactional analysis, and preparation of factual chronologies. Maintain accurate investigation logs, evidence inventories, and action trackers while handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality, objectivity, and professional judgment.

- Audit Analytics and Intelligence:  Use Microsoft Excel and other approved audit tools to organize information, perform basic analysis, identify inconsistencies, and prepare accurate workpapers. Ensure conclusions are evidence-based and documentation is complete, clear, and traceable.  Support audit and related activities like Committee & external reporting, Incident management, Professional practices or Audit administration.

- Team and Professional Responsibilities:  Complete assigned work within agreed timelines, proactively communicate progress and dependencies, participate in training, seek guidance appropriately, and collaborate respectfully with colleagues and stakeholders across functions and locations.

- Conduct Principles:  Perform all activities in line with Invesco’s conduct principles and high standards of integrity, confidentiality, and ethical behavior.

The Experience Your Bring

- Internship, academic project, or coursework exposure in auditing, accounting, risk, compliance, corporate finance, or data analysis will be advantageous.
- Basic understanding of financial statements, accounting concepts, internal controls, business processes, and risk management concepts. Awareness of asset management, securities, or banking industries will be helpful but is not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Excel formulas, filters, lookups, pivot tables, and basic data analysis is preferred.
- Certifications: Professional certifications are not mandatory. Interest in pursuing relevant audit, accounting, risk, finance, or fraud-related certifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, CIA, ACCA, or ACFE is preferable.

Academic Requirements

- MBA/PGDM in Finance (2027 Batch)
- No current backlogs
- 60% or equivalent CGPA/CQPI throughout 10th, 12th or Diploma, UG course
