Dispatcher

DP World , the fast-growing transportation and logistics leader that currently manages more than 10% of world trade, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dispatcher to join the team of our terminal in Novi Sad, Serbia .

Your Responsibilities:

• Monitoring the implementation of the operational plan and assigned work orders, ensuring timely execution and alignment with established priorities.
• Coordinating the required equipment, resources and workforce in close collaboration with port supervisors to support safe and efficient operations.
• Allocating operational activities and tracking their progress to ensure planned services are delivered in line with agreed timelines and standards.
• Communicating proactively with supply-chain stakeholders—including cargo owners, freight forwarders, shipping agents, inspection companies and transport providers—regarding the planning, organisation and delivery of port and terminal services.
• Ensuring the continuity of work and, if necessary, determining the priority in the execution of tasks in agreement with the Chief of Operations.
• Controlling the execution of planned tasks and, if necessary, making corrections when there are disturbances in the work process.
• Giving instructions to shippers and coordinating loading, moving from moorings to moorings and ejecting vessels from the water area of port.
• Through the RIS (River Information System) locating and tracking vessels, maintaining a permanent radio connection with them.
• Signing the letter of readiness, keeping accurate records (entry, waiting, processing and exit of vessels from the port basin) and preparing recurring reports.
• Updating data on the loaded/unloaded quantities of goods in the port logbook through software for operation services.

Your Profile:

• Completed IV education level in a technical or social field.
• Minimum 3 years of previous work experience in a similar role within ports & terminals operations/road transportation/rail transportation.
• Efficient communication skills (excellent listening and ability to convey information clearly, confidently and tactfully) in the Serbian language. A minimum level of fluency in the English language (min. B1), both verbally and in writing, would be a great advantage.
• Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite, with experience working with transport amnagement systems being an advantage.
• A strong team spirit and a solution-oriented attitude focused on resolving problems efficiently.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, demonstrating flexibility in unexpected situations and dedication to meeting deadlines.
• Customer-oriented and committed to continuous performance improvement in order to deliver services that exceed expectations.
• Detail-oriented approach, ensuring quality in all endeavors through accurate and thorough tasks completion.
