About this role

*This is not a role with 2070 Health*

Build the operational heart of an AI-native finance firm.

We're looking for a high caliber finance and accounting operator who wants to build and run our Hyderabad hub — not manage a back office — and set the standard for how modern finance gets delivered to U.S. consumer founders.

Who we are - Linkedin | Website

Verr Financial is a seven-figure accounting, finance and CFO firm serving founders building ambitious e-commerce, CPG and consumer software/AI brands. We bootstrapped to $1M in annual revenue by being faster, sharper and clearer than firms many times our size.

We’ve partnered with the founders of companies including Magic Mind, Halfday, WOLACO, Dr. Woof and more. We have helped founders strengthen cash visibility, build decision-ready financial models, and raise capital.

We are deliberately lean and high-horsepower. Our founder, Reva Reddy, is Wharton and ex-McKinsey, previously co-founded a fintech with an eight-figure exit and later led a venture-backed company through 10x growth. Our Director of Finance in Los Angeles came from investment banking.

Everyone here punches above their weight, and everyone owns their work.

Why founders hire us

Consumer founders are exceptional at product, brand and growth. What many lack is financial discipline: the rigor to manage cash, read the numbers honestly and put capital where it actually compounds. The gap between a sharp decision and an expensive one often comes down to whether someone brought that discipline in time.

That's what we do. We give founders clean books, an actionable financial model and the clarity to turn both into real capital-allocation decisions. The work you'll own is not paperwork; it is the instrument panel a founder runs the business on.

Why this role exists

Most firms treat India as a back office: a place to push low-cost work. We reject that entirely.

Hyderabad is one of our two hubs; the other is Los Angeles. It is where our core deliverables are produced, our processes are invented and refined, and over time where accounting/finance and technical talent will work together as the line between financial workflows and AI systems blurs.

We need a long-term partner to help build and run it.

What you'll own

This is a builder-operator role: part hands-on execution, part building the team and systems that execute. No one at Verr manages from a distance. Early on, you'll be close to the work; over time, you'll build the machine that runs it.

• Operational finance. Own the quality of cash operations — including A/P, A/R and commissions — as well as weekly flash financials reporting and most importantly, the monthly close. These are the foundations that stand up all of our CFO and advisory work.

• The team. Build and lead the Hyderabad team, beginning with three people and hiring as the hub scales. You'll recruit, develop talent and set the bar — not simply supervise.

• The systems. Turn heroics into repeatable process. Design workflows, controls and review mechanisms that allow the team to move quickly without sacrificing accuracy.

• Verr OS: the agentic layer. Help redesign how the work gets done: identifying what should be automated, where human judgment must remain and how the two reinforce each other. You do not need to write code, but you need sharp instincts for where AI creates leverage.

• The hub. Help shape the culture, operating rhythm and long-term mandate of Hyderabad, with room to expand into technical and engineering talent as Verr grows.

Our CFO and advisory layer sits primarily with the Los Angeles office, alongside an exceptional IC in the Philippines. Your work is the bedrock that makes that advisory work credible.

How we measure ourselves

1. Speed: we move faster than anyone expects with the goal of zero-day close.

2. Accuracy: finance cannot make an error. The numbers are right, substantiated and polished, every time. AI can create enormous leverage, but accountability for the financial output remains human.

3. Clarity: we do not merely close the books; we make the numbers mean something.

How we work

We are async-first. Los Angeles and Hyderabad operate as our hubs. Our founder visits India at least twice a year; the rest runs on trust, clear systems and ownership.

This role will be based in Hyderabad, where we expect to establish a physical office, likely in HITEC City. We currently envision a hybrid arrangement of approximately two to three days per week in person, but the right leader will help us shape how the office works.

Because we operate as one team across Hyderabad and Los Angeles, regular overlap with U.S. working hours is required. We will design the schedule thoughtfully; this is not intended to mean living permanently on a U.S. clock.

If you need someone looking over your shoulder to do great work, this is not the seat. If you want the autonomy to build something and be judged on outcomes, it is.

Requirements

Who you are

We care far more about judgment, ownership and systems thinking than any single résumé archetype. This is a senior seat, and we are not looking for someone learning how to lead for the first time.

The gold-standard profile is a technically exceptional finance professional who has also proven they can operate: someone with deep accounting and finance fundamentals, real ownership experience and the judgment to build a team and delivery engine around them.

You might come from:

• A finance or accounting leadership role at a high-growth startup or technology company such as Ramp, Rippling, Stripe, Mercury, Brex, Deel, Amazon or a similar environment — especially if you have helped build the function, not merely participated in it.

• A startup CFO or senior finance leader who has experienced meaningful company-building, including through an exit or other major scaling event.

• Investment banking, strategic finance or another rigorous finance environment, followed by enough operating experience to understand how the numbers actually get produced.

• A strong accounting or professional services firm, particularly if you are a Chartered Accountant with an exceptional academic record or CA rank, and have moved beyond advisory into genuine operating ownership.

Regardless of your path:

• You have exceptional finance and accounting fundamentals. You can get into the numbers yourself, understand how the general ledger and close actually work, and know what excellent output looks like.

• You have been an operator, not merely an advisor. You are comfortable owning outcomes when there is no one else to hand the problem to.

• You communicate exceptionally well. You can speak and write with U.S. founders and executives naturally, credibly and directly — translating technical finance into clear business judgment.

• You are a builder, not a manager who delegates from above. You have led people and operations and are energized by creating the team, standards and systems around you.

• You think in systems and are energized — not threatened — by AI-enabled workflows.

• You want to build and own something over the long term, not clock in.

Benefits

Compensation and long-term upside

Compensation will be top of market for the right candidate, with a meaningful discretionary annual bonus and substantial upside as the role and firm scale. We also expect meaningful compensation growth in year two, aligned with performance.

For an exceptional long-term leader, there is potential for meaningful profit participation and/or equity participation over time. We want the person who helps build this institution to participate in the value they create, rather than treat this as a conventional salaried role.

This is a founding seat. You'll shape a hub that is central to where Verr is going, gain unusual exposure to ambitious U.S. founders, and have room to expand the mandate as the firm grows.

You may not be actively looking for your next role. That's okay. We suspect the right person is already doing meaningful work somewhere else. If this mission resonates, we'd still love to start a conversation.
