What You’ll Be Doing:
• Safely transport youth and staff in a school bus according to scheduled routes
• Monitor passenger safety and behavior while maintaining a secure environment
• Perform regular vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
• Administer basic first aid and follow all safety procedures when necessary
• Communicate effectively with staff about transportation and youth needs

Who We’re Looking For:
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 21 years of age required
• Previous driving experience required
• Valid CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements and a good driving record required
• Pass an annual Motor Vehicle Registration (MVR) check required
• Bus driving experience is preferred.

Physical & Safety Requirements:
• Ability to operate large vehicles safely in various weather conditions; moderate physical activity including boarding assistance may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, EQUIPMENT USAGE, WORK ENVIRONMENT:

- ## Extended periods of time in a vehicle; reasonably expected to have and maintain sufficient strength, agility, and endurance to perform during stressful (physical, mental and emotional) situations encountered on the job without compromising their health and well-being or that of their fellow employees, youth, or families.
- ## Work is typically in vehicle but may be performed in a variety of environments ranging from highly stressful and potentially aggressive to casual and leisurely, in both indoor and outdoor settings and may be subject to outside weather conditions occasionally. Includes constant interruptions, inappropriate behaviors, and the potential for verbal and physical threats from youth.
