About this role

The focus of this field-based leadership role is to lead and inspire a field sales team to deliver exceptional sales levels through best in class planning, sales execution, compliance and reporting. As Field Sales Manager of our Vodafone Business Team you will live the CPM DNA of We Care, We’re Curious, We Achieve Together, We’re People People. You will support your Team and wider CPM business by example through your passion and commitment for the role.

Responsibilities:

- Support and lead a high performing Business Field Sales Team on behalf of our client and CPM
- Provide coaching and development for the team of Business Development Managers
- Motivate the Team to perform to a high level at all times, and to ultimately achieve all KPI targets on a weekly and monthly basis
- Identify and develop a second level management Team who will support the day to day successful functioning, and ongoing growth of the sales team
- Take ownership of all issues and incidents related to the sales team, and ensure successful resolution while maintaining ongoing communication with your Line Manager
- Hold effective team meetings, utilising technology as appropriate to deliver communication and training while ensuring accountability of each member of the Team
- Complete monthly 1-2-1s with all team members, and ensure that all permanent members of the Team have an annual PDP in place
- Strong reporting of KPIs, business intelligence and L&D opportunities to CPM and client management
- Work closely with the Operations team to ensure effective management of sales processing, compliance, asset and reporting procedures
- Create an exceptional culture of compliance across the Team to ensure that activity at all times is in accordance with internal, external and client guidelines and expectations
- Support recruiting, onboarding and training of new staff as required
- Manage performance through the performance management process and balance this with motivational focus to ensure the highest level of performance from all team members

Qualifications:

- Previous experience managing and/or coaching successful field sales teams in the business and/or utilities sector
- Experience providing coaching and development support to a field sales team
- Strong IT Skills. Be comfortable working with Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook, and preparing presentations on Word and PowerPoint
- Exceptional track record of delivering on sales targets and sales KPIs

- Positive mindset with a solution-based approach to challenges as they arise
- Strong analysis and judgement skills to prioritise and focus energies where it will provide the best return for CPM and the client
- Full driving licence

Measures of Success:

- 100% KPI target achievement monthly, including sales volume, average and quality, headcount, retention, active rate and sales compliance
- On time, accurate reporting of activity, sales, leads and pipeline
- Excellent results on both the client and employee annual engagement surveys, reflecting the culture, morale and performance of the team
- Identify and implement one new or improved way of working each quarter which will add value to the client and/or improve CPM ways of working
