Summary:

The Parent Ambassador serves as a vital link between the school and its families, working to build strong relationships, foster parent engagement, and promote a positive school culture. This pilot position is an in-person role designed to create meaningful connections and empower families by providing support, resources, and opportunities for involvement. Through a deep understanding of the school community, the Parent Ambassador ensures that parents feel informed, valued, and engaged in their child’s educational journey.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Oversight and continuous improvement of the benefit administration software, process, and integrations.
- Leave process development, improvement, and administration.
- Lead members of the benefits team with responsibilities for leaves and benefits administration.
- Implement plan design changes and support change management by coordinating and managing benefit changes with vendors.
- Assist with plan design discussions, data to support and inform plan decisions.
- Manage leave of absence process in coordination with benefit administrator.
- Support and cultivate relationships with vendors and brokers.
- Ensure benefit compliance throughout daily work.
- Provide an excellent level of customer service to employees on benefit matters.
- Leverage HR technologies to communicate and manage benefit administration efficiently.
- Cultivates an engaging team culture built on trust and open communication.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience desired.
- 5+ years of professional Human Resources experience desired.
- Lawson or other HRIS knowledge is a plus.
- Possess demonstrated mastery of Microsoft Office tools including Excel and Word.
- Possess working knowledge of key components of the ADA, FMLA, PPACA, and ERISA.
- Excellent customer service skills are essential.
- Comfort explaining processes and procedures to NHA employees, occasionally in a group setting.
- Quickly learn, understand, and manage new systems related to benefits administration and employee data.
- Must be dependable, professional, organized, detailed oriented and able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exemplifies emotional intelligence in interactions with team members and stakeholders.
